The Shirin Bracelet pairs Greek ceramic beads with a leather cord and an adjustable 14k gold-filled clasp, handcrafted in Central Texas and designed to fit everyone.

This one's unisex, genuinely, not in the vague marketing sense where "unisex" quietly means "for women, but fine on men too." The Shirin Bracelet was built from the ground up to work on anyone's wrist: leather cord, a handful of Greek ceramic beads, and hardware that doesn't lean masculine or feminine, just good.

So if you're a guy eyeing this one, go for it. Nothing about it is trying to be delicate or precious. It's a leather bracelet with some texture to it, the kind of piece that looks just as at home on a dad at a backyard cookout as it does on his daughter borrowing it for the weekend.

The adjustable 14k gold-filled clasp means it's one size fits most, no guessing your wrist measurement, no half-committing to a size before you order. Available here in Black, Olive, and Dark Teal, and if none of those are quite right, check out the Shirin Bracelet in Choose Your Color for a wider range of shades made to order.

Handcrafted in Central Texas, the Shirin Bracelet is proof that unisex doesn't have to mean unassuming. It's just a good bracelet, for whoever wants to wear it.

Materials: Greek ceramic beads, veg-tan leather cord, and 14k gold-filled clasp.

At Son of a Sailor, we believe the best materials get better with time. Our goods are designed to be used, worn, and lived with—developing character that reflects their journey alongside yours.

Most of our jewelry findings are crafted from 14k gold-fill and sterling silver, while our jewelry collection features a mix of 14k gold-fill, sterling silver, and brass. To help preserve their finish, we recommend removing jewelry before swimming or showering and avoiding direct contact with lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Over time, sterling silver and brass may develop a natural patina, while gold-fill will maintain its beauty for years to come.

Our leather goods and wood pieces are made to age gracefully, developing richness, warmth, and character through everyday use. Likewise, our brass, copper, and stainless steel bottle openers are built for a lifetime of service. Keep them dry when possible and clean with a soft cloth as needed.

Every material ages in its own way, and that's part of what we love about working with honest materials. For detailed care instructions and material-specific recommendations, visit our Care Guide.

billy + jess

In 2011, Billy + Jessica launched Son of a Sailor out of their East Austin home. Before they were even married, they knew they wanted to join forces creatively. Over a decade later, Son of a Sailor has become a staple Central Texas brand with two brick & mortar locations. Get to know the hands behind the goods.

deep in the heart of texas

While Jess was born in Texas, Billy "got here as fast as he could" as they say. Each having moved around the country more than their fair share, Billy and Jess met in San Francisco, and before too long Billy brought Jess back home.

A graphic designer and screenprinter by trade, Billy’s work takes on organic forms while Jessica’s background in fine art photography gives her a strong eye for framing, precision and composition. Son of a Sailor was born out of their shared love of thoughtful design and the ways it can spark joy in the lives of others.

made by hand

With the belief that a rising tide raises all ships, they work hard to preserve the art of the handmade. Much of the inspiration behind Son of a Sailor's products comes from the application of color, pattern and geometry to materials with a rich history and story.

In our shop, you’ll find jewelry and lifestyle goods ranging from beaded earrings and bracelets to painted keychains, playful home goods and men’s leather accessories—all of which are designed with the intent of bringing happiness to life’s daily necessities.
