RETAIL ASSISTANT

part-time or full-time

Enjoy being surrounded by beautiful goods and engaging with people? Focused on customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere, this is a part-time or full-time position in our storefront.

Retail Assistants work directly with the Retail Manager and owners of Son of a Sailor to keep the store running beautifully. This person will play a role in cleaning and merchandising the storefront, handling customer transactions in the shop, assisting in keeping accurate inventory and bringing in new product, and helping with content creation for social media.

We are a close-knit team, and are looking for someone with a positive attitude, killer attention to detail, who takes pride in their work. Experience is not necessary, but is preferred. Must be comfortable on a computer, and experience with eCommerce platforms is a plus.

This position is being offered as either a part-time or full-time position. Part-time schedule is 2-3 days per week (25-30 hours) and Full-time is 4-5 days per week (35-40) with occasional events, as needed. Weekend availability is required.

Pay is $14-17 per hour, plus benefits. All positions offer employee discount, product stipend, and Paid Time Off, and Full Time positions also offer health insurance.

RETAIL MANAGER

We are on the hunt for someone with a love for design-led goods to manage the brick & mortar at the Son of a Sailor Studio Storefront. If you have an appreciation for modern aesthetic, handmade goods, and engaging with the community, keep reading!

The Retail Manager position will work directly with the owners of Son of a Sailor to strategize and implement our retail efforts. This person will play a role in buying product, managing inventory, merchandising, social media & marketing, customer service, reporting & analytics, and sales. The Retail Manager will also work alongside our in-house Production team at our studio storefront. Seasonal and Part-time Retail Assistants, when needed, will report directly to the Retail Manager.
