We're excited to welcome Wild Okra Tattoo to Son of a Sailor for the start of a summer tattoo residency. Whether you've been dreaming up a custom piece or are looking for the perfect flash tattoo, this is your chance to get tattooed right here in the shop by Wild Okra's talented artists.

Fall Sidewalk Sale
What:
Expect marked-down sale items and finished pieces alongside the part everyone keeps asking about: our materials. Leather offcuts, chain, beads, findings, hardware, and odds and ends from past collections we no longer use. It's the same quality stuff Jessica and Billy build with every day, just looking for a second life on someone else's workbench.
Makers, crafters, and the craft-curious should come early. The materials go fast, and there's only so much of each thing. When it's gone, it's gone (and honestly, that's the point).
Swing by, dig through the bins, and say hi. We'll be the ones looking suspiciously lighter.

Dirty Bones Design Co. Screenprinting Workshop
What:
Anfisa of Dirty Bones Design Co. is back, and we couldn't be happier about it.
In this hands-on workshop, she'll walk you through the basics of screenprinting, from inking the screen to pulling a clean print, and you'll leave with a tote bag you printed yourself. This round features her Spooky n Sweet design: a bat-winged beauty in roses, cradling a jack-o'-lantern, printed in pumpkin orange on natural canvas. It's just the right amount of Halloween for someone who plans to carry it well into November.
No experience needed. Anfisa is a patient teacher, and screenprinting is the rare craft where a slightly imperfect print just looks more handmade. All materials are included.

Stained Glass Workshop
What:
Get creative and dive into a fun, hands-on stained glass experience at Son of a Sailor. This 2 hour class is perfect for anyone wanting to get a feel for how stained glass art is made. You will start by choosing between over 10 different designs, then you will pick your own pre-cut and ground glass pieces, wrap them in copper foil, solder them together, and take it home with you! Bring your friends or come solo. Either way, you're in for a great time!

We're proud to be a pickup location of organic, locally-made Lyssie Lou cookies. Preorder cookies online ahead of time, then pick them up in store.
