Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours in advance; late changes or no-shows will forfeit the deposit, which is non-refundable and cannot be applied to a future booking.

We are happy to remove your jewelry for you. If you would like to turn your permanent jewelry into a traditional clasped piece, we can convert your piece for $20.
In a pinch? Simply snip your jewelry off with wire snips or heavy duty scissors.
Permanent jewelry can be removed at any time with a small pair of scissors or wire cutters — just snip the chain link near the weld. Because the chain itself remains intact, we can often reweld the same piece back on. If the piece needs to be removed for a medical procedure, travel, or personal preference, bring it back to us and we will reattach it for you. Rewelding services are available — see our Permanent Jewelry Services page for details.
Alternatively, any permanent piece can be converted to a traditional removable style with a clasp closure, so you never have to lose a piece you love.
Permanent jewelry is designed to be worn indefinitely. There is no built-in expiration — your piece will stay on as long as you choose to keep it. The longevity depends on the metal you choose, how you care for it, and your lifestyle. With everyday wear and basic care, most pieces hold up beautifully for years.
We work exclusively with 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains. Both are popular choices for sensitive skin:
- 14k gold-filled has a thick bonded layer of real gold over a base metal core. It is highly durable, tarnish-resistant, and generally well-tolerated by people with metal sensitivities.
- Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver. It is a classic, versatile metal that most people wear without issue, though it can patina with exposure to air and moisture. It can be polished to restore its original shine..

- Showers: Fine for both gold-filled and sterling silver. Pat dry afterward to minimize water spots.
- Swimming pools & hot tubs: Chlorine and bromine can accelerate tarnishing on sterling silver and, over time, may affect the surface of gold-filled pieces. Limit prolonged soaking when possible.
- Ocean water: Salt can also contribute to tarnishing on silver. Rinse your piece with fresh water after a swim.
- Cleaning: A soft cloth and mild soap and water is all you need. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, and abrasive polishing cloths, which can scratch fine chain.
- Lotions & perfumes: Apply these before your jewelry and allow them to fully absorb or dry before the chain comes into contact.
Bodies change — and permanent jewelry can change with them. If a bracelet, anklet, or necklace ever feels too tight or too loose, bring it back to us. We can cut, refit, and reweld your piece so it sits comfortably again. If significant weight change is anticipated, a slightly looser fit at the time of welding is worth discussing with your artist.
If you are scheduled for an MRI, surgery, or another procedure that requires metal to be removed from the body, you will need to cut your permanent jewelry off beforehand. Medical staff may require this, and it is always better to plan ahead. Snip the chain close to the weld so you retain as much length as possible — then bring it back to us afterward and we will reweld it. Please follow all instructions from your medical provider. We are not able to advise on medical-specific requirements.
