Calling All Makers
Every vendor is hand-picked by the teams at Son of a Sailor and Wildcraft General. We have a sharp eye and a soft spot for people doing careful, original work. Spots are limited, and here’s what catches our attention:
- Handmade goods you make yourself (no resale)
- A distinct point of view: work that looks like yours and nobody else’s
- A booth put together with the same care as what’s on it
- Neighborly energy. We cheer for each other around here.
One application covers both markets, Small Business Saturday (November 28) and the Holiday Market (December 19). Even if you only want to join us for one, apply here and select the market or markets you’d like to take part in. Applying is free.
EARLY BIRD:

Small Business Saturday Market
What:
While the rest of the world elbows its way through Black Friday, Nolan Street will be doing things a little differently. On Small Business Saturday, Son of a Sailor and Wildcraft General are hosting a curated market of independent makers who build their businesses one handmade piece at a time. Every purchase does more good than you might think. A 2018 study commissioned by American Express found that, on average, two-thirds of every dollar (67 cents) spent at small businesses in the U.S. stays in the local community. That money becomes wages for your neighbors, orders for local suppliers, and the kind of shops that make a neighborhood worth living in. Snag a coffee, start your holiday list, and help keep the small businesses around you thriving through the season.

Holiday Maker's Market
What:
For the rest of your list, and for every name you’ve been avoiding, the Holiday Market is the answer. We’ve hand-picked makers whose work is made with care, built to last, and impossible to find on a big-box shelf. These gifts come with a story and a person behind them, so you can tell the recipient exactly who made it and how. Your friends will love what they unwrap, and they’ll be quietly impressed with what a thoughtful gift-giver you’ve become. You won’t regret coming by, and you might find something for yourself while you’re at it.
