Son of a Sailor offers custom logo application to many of our best selling leather and wood items. Choose from one of three ways to make your mark.

Embossing

This technique uses high pressure to impress a custom made stamp into leather, resulting in an embossed relief of the design.

Custom hand-painting may be added to the design for an additional fee.

There is a one-time tooling fee for the stamp, which is dependent upon the size of the logo. This fee typically ranges from $100 - $150 depending on the size and intricacy of design. In addition, there is a $1 per-unit customization fee for embossing.

The stamp may be used on all leather goods now and in the future, provided that the product can accommodate the size of the stamp.

Laser engraving

This technique utilizes a laser machine to etch a precise and consistent logo. Lasers burn an image onto a piece of wood or leather which results in dark brown coloring with a slight relief.

There is a one-time $45 design set-up fee for laser engraving, in addition to a per-unit customization fee that typically ranges from $5 - $20 depending on the size and intricacy of the design.

Branding

This technique utilizes a hot metal tool to burn a custom logo onto a piece of leather or wood resulting in an organic, raw dark brown coloring.

Branding will result in slightly inconsistent results with a potential for overburn, which is the nature of this traditional marking process.

There is a one-time tooling fee for branding, which is dependent upon the size of the logo. Starting at $150, this fee goes up according to size and intricacy of graphic. In addition, there is a $1 per-unit customization fee for branding.

The brand may be used on all goods now and in the future, provided that the product can accommodate the size of the brand.
