We’ve got some exciting news to share: we were voted #2 Best Locally Made Product in San Antonio Current’s Best of SA 2025!
This means the world to us. While Son of a Sailor has been around since 2011, our San Antonio storefront has only been open for two years. In that short time, we’ve met so many incredible customers, collaborators, and neighbors who’ve welcomed us into the community and supported our mission: to create handmade goods that are personal, intentional, and built to last.
Being recognized alongside local favorites we admire is such an honor. Huge congrats to our friends at Ricos for snagging the top spot, and to Casa Chocolates for rounding out the top three!
To everyone who voted for us: thank you. Truly. Every leather keychain, every beaded bracelet, every gift wrapped with care—it’s all made by real hands in our Texas studio, and we’re so grateful to do this work in a city that values craft and creativity.
