Update: Article now available to read online at https://www.sanantoniomag.com/hand-crafted-on-the-east-side/
We are thrilled to share some exciting news — Son of a Sailor has been featured in San Antonio Magazine! This recognition is a tremendous honor for us, and we are over the moon to be included in their July-August issue.

As makers, we love that San Antonio Magazine has an appreciation for the handmade and recognizes its impact in our local San Antonio community. As we said in the article, "I think art and design and having fun in those realms is really important. We do something that is meant to add quality, fun, flavor and personality to life.” We are so happy to be making our goods in a community that appreciates and inspires that fun, flavor, and personality.

In the article we talk about the story behind our business, our love for design, and making things here in San Antonio. If you've ever wondered where the name, Son of a Sailor, came from, this article answers that for ya!

For those eager to get their hands on this special issue, you can pick up a copy at Central Market, Whole Foods, HEB, and various other locations throughout the city. We encourage you to grab a copy and read about all the other incredible local artisans and businesses that make San Antonio a vibrant and creative community.

Thank you to San Antonio Magazine for this wonderful feature and for recognizing the beauty and importance of handmade goods. We couldn't be prouder to be part of such a supportive, inspiring and vibrant community.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates and continue supporting local craftsmanship and publications!

Cheers,

The Son of a Sailor Team
