Dear Son of a Sailor Community,
We are headed on down the road! After 10 incredible years at our East Austin location, we are closing up shop to move into our San Antonio location full-time. We are excited about the growth and opportunities that await us in our new home, even though bidding farewell to our Austin roots is bittersweet.
Billy and Jessica, owners of Son of a Sailor, made the personal move to San Antonio in 2022, and fell in love with the vibrant neighborhood of Dignowity Hill, just east of downtown. In April of 2023, Son of a Sailor opened its second storefront in the same neighborhood. As we approach our 1-year anniversary in San Antonio, we've made the decision to say goodbye to the place where we got our start in Austin. We have loved growing with the city, and being a part of the vibrant Canopy community. But times, they are a changin' and we are making the move to San Antonio, full-time.
Our new studio and storefront offers us ample space to stretch our legs and explore new creative avenues. The size of the space alone has offered so much in the production of our jewelry, leather, and supply goods. We can't wait to show you all the new things we have been working on.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our Austin customers for your unwavering support over the years. Austin will always be where we got our start. We would not be celebrating our 13th anniversary as a business in May without all of the love and support of our Austin community.
