Brass will tarnish with time and exposure to the elements, but may be polished to restore shine. Jewelry should be removed before swimming or showering to help maintain condition.

The Shirin bracelet is named after Shirin Ebadi, Iranian lawyer, judge, and founder of Defender of Human Rights Center in Iran. A lifelong activist, Shirin was the first Iranian to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her pioneering efforts for human rights, especially women’s, children’s and refugee rights.
